Just heat wrenching.

Society needs to inculcate compassion from early on and at every stage throughout everyone's life, while striving to eliminate ego and the teachings that permit and condone ego. I know... that's a very tall order. But, we need to start somewhere. In too many ways our society is moving backwards instead of forward. Each of us needs to partake in the care of all of us.
