Technical on USF

I was at the game but couldn't figure out why USF got T'd. What happened? Apologies if this was already discussed in another thread.

I'd like to know also. I, too, was at the game and initially thought that #4 (the one who fouled out) had some sort of angry response-- but to what, I couldn't tell. Then the announcement was that the technical was assessed to the bench. That's all I could tell.

But the Miami Herald and CBS reported (AP wire, probably) that the play was "physical" and the technical was on Fernandez.

Technical was on USF coach for excessive complaining to the refs.

He walked well out onto the court to jaw at an official (Spence, I think) and she T'd him up.

I think pap has it correct. It was a combination of being out on the court and what Jose said.

Sounds right. He was warned multiple times to get back in his space and he also jawed quite a bit about specific call that two of the refs saw differently. Went against USF. He wouldn't let it go.

He called a time out and then instead of administering to his team he decided to go onto the court and engage Bonita Spence...bingo..."T'd up"
