I remember the LSU coach saying he was surprised no one in their conference pressed and sped up the game like the Huskies did. They crushed LSU from the get go.I was in high school at the time and remember when the bracket came out. Kid who sat at the table behind me kept saying “Bye, bye UConn” in a baby voice with a stupid smirk on his face bc he knew I was a diehard. Still confuses me to this day how some people from CT simply don’t like the Huskies but that’s for another day. Anyway the day after the game, I was the one with the stupid smirk on my face walking into class…
20p/11rb/2.5blI won't even post the SI article because it's so silly. A year out from the draft and they have a landing spot for the UConn "Star" but i will say this:
I think that Tarris will have the best season any big man has had in the history of this program
I don't think we're prepared for how good this kid is gonna be for us next year.
PPG/RPG/Blocks
His numbers should be laughable.
Definitely possible. I’m guessing fewer points (let’s say 17 for the record) just because I think there will be a lot of offensive weapons that spread it around.20p/11rb/2.5bl
I don't think a single player will take enough shots to average 20 points.20p/11rb/2.5bl
I actually think we get 2-3 guys over 15. Offense will be better and more flowing with a scoring threat at the 1. Inside out game will be better, AK and Solo will benefit from more scoring options around them.I don't think a single player will take enough shots to average 20 points.
My guess for our FGA leaders would be:
1. Ball
2. Demary
3. Reed
4. Karaban
5. Mullins
The first four of those guys are gonna have the green light to put shots up whenever they can. Then you have Mullins who might be a one and done level scorer/shooter that proves he deserves the green light as well. I can’t see anyone averaging over 15.
Mullins/Stewart/Smith/Reibe/Furphy make me think it's less likely as well, all those guys have the ability to get buckets, and there's only so many shot attempts per game for the team.I actually think we get 2-3 guys over 15. Offense will be better and more flowing with a scoring threat at the 1. Inside out game will be better, AK and Solo will benefit from more scoring options around them.
I think Solo gets over 15 for sure, then AK, Silas and Tarris will all be very close with 1/2 right there. We had 3 guys at 14 ppg last year.
