I love me some Samson Johnson. But I truly believe we are better with Reed on the floor and Sampson going back into the change of pace role. I really would hate for the injury to make that a reality, but I think we need it.
I would like see them get a few minutes together when Karaban gets a breather. Samson Johnson is quick enough to guard a perimeter player, and could go for blocks while Reed clears RB

Yeah whoever said it, I am starting to agree. I think he may be our best player. Post scoring, rebounding on both ends, good rim protection, pretty good FT shooting. He is our surest scoring option right now, in my opinion. He is Sanogo-esque down low.

The two man game with him and Liam tonight was something else.
Bruh! Liam looked insane on those drives to the basket. Hes getting passed his defenders with ease and he either scores, gets fouled or can dish it to the big Tarris/Samson. That is very tough to stop and i think Liam has figured that out because he was going at it with authority.

With all due respect to Samson, I don’t think Reed is giving the main center role back. He’s just so much better than I think even the staff anticipated this quickly. Already one of the best centers in the conference.

It’s also crazy to think of the NIL value we probably achieved by not pursuing the top center options this off season. Reed and Johnson probably combine to make one stud center in value, which is perfect.

He dossnt have sanogo touch , he has more height , by next year equal in strength. Significantly better shot blocker /rim protector. I see why danny locked him up mid championship celebration lol
He may not have Sanogo’s touch, which is unbelievable, but he’s got great hands and he finishes most of the time. Tarris is very reliable.

Aside from Kalkbrenner I'm not sure there is a better center in the BE this year. How did Juwan Howard drop the ball with him so much?
They didn’t run an offense and the pg was a me first guy. There were games where Taris looked this good last year as well. I was at a game in Ann Arbor right after new years and walked away super impressed w him. He is playing now more back to the rim in the post. But he is more than capable to get out in transition and attack the rim. The kid is a stud.

I don’t know why this board is hell bent on this constant either/or discussion on the centers. We need both equally. They give us different options on both ends. Yet every game, when one does something the other doesn’t there’s a thread.

Reed finishes better from the right side of the rim vs left. Once he gets that left hand working he can score 30 in games like this. Or he can dunk.
