Tarris Reed Jr Out vs Arizona

.-.
Excellent to put dough on UConn only to have their best player declared out 2 minutes before the game

Wouldn't be surprised if our Bigs can't match up with Arizona that we just got with Karaban for stretches there.

Looked like a tailbone issue after he fell vs BYU. But he definitely looked hobbled

I’m actually intrigued to see how Karoma fairs out there tonight. He’s not a long term solution, but I think he can hold his own for a night. It’s the offense if we can’t hit 3’s that I’m concerned about and rebounding

If we shoot the ball well from 3 we win. If we don’t we won’t have much other ways to score unless Reibe grows up fast

Definitely the BYU game. I was there, saw it and saw the difference after he fell.

Suprising he can't just muscle this one out and then sit against Bryant. Throw some darned anti inflammatory in there. His presence alone would make a difference, totally different team without him.
Terrible that it had to happen to Tarris, but at least it was at near the end of the game. I saw that game in person, too, and it was noticeable the way his movement was restricted after Robert Wright 3 rolled up Tarris' ankle.

Silver lining, hopefully Eric Riebe is eager to show what he's got and not nervous. Also, let's hope this is the last of the injury bug for Tarris for the rest of this season. If it had to happen, I guuuueeeesss, this is the time to have it, better than late February and March.

Last year, the injury bug really derailed the season for a team that already had a small margin for error. If Liam doesn't get hurt, Hass probably does not get hurt from the overuse and I think the ceiling on that team was Sweet 16/Elite 8 (maybe Final 4 in a favorable bracket).

Usually, I think Karoma could fair well. But Arizona’s center is 7’2 250.

May be just too big for him.

Does anyone know if Mullins is playing? He's dressed and warming up with the team.

Did you want Zona to have more time to prepare?
You figure it reduces our chances somehow? If they prepare in the last 24 hrs for Reed but we don't play him, that gives us a real advantage? Is that a real theory? BYU was at a disadvantaged themselves by declaring their player out before nearly gametime and lost, so I guess you're right.

But he’s not a back to the basket type of big. They don’t rely on him to score We should be fine defensively. It’s not having Reed as a dump down option that scares me. And rebounding. Reibe has the ability

Their big hasn't been the difference maker so far, but that's a lot of vertical. I'm gonna be really curious as to the creativity Hurley is gonna have to pull out for this one. How many minutes can Reibe even go? You got to wonder if the Turk gets some run in this one.

Terrible sarcasm recognition skills on your part, it's a mojo take.

I’d rather them not prepare for small ball while we do, so yes.
