So you can only start tailgating 3 hours before night games, right... ? So the lot won't be open until 4:30? I wish they'd let us get there a little earlier.

Tailgaiting is allowed 4 hours before gametime. With a 8:05 P.M. kickoff, the gates should be opened at 4 P.M. For a Saturday noon game the gates open at 8 A.M.

Oh, I thought for some reason tailgating was only allowed 3 hours before gametime on night games. And that game time was 7:30. I apparently am highly misinformed and should probably stop posting topics to make myself appear to be less than intelligent.

I park at Silva's and have done so for years. You can do whatever you want there and there are no time restrictions. Just dont cross the road in front of EHPD, a cop went nuts on some lady a few years ago about crossing the road there without a crosswalk. Dude was off his meds that day.

You can still do about an hour or so. Beats the hell out of sitting in traffic

You only get stuck in traffic when there's a lot of cars leaving at once. Like, in the middle of the 3rd quarter.

At Michigan you can tailgate at least 5 hours before the game. and stay around after. My buddy and I didn't get to our car until 2:30AM in Ann Arbor.

If that were the case here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near a road on game nights. Horrible idea.

What he said. You get about 30-60 minutes before it's time to leave blue lot. red lot is probably treated a little more strictly.
We have never left the blue lot less than 1 1/2 hours after the game. I don't know where you are coming up with the 30-60 minutes following the game thing.

From my years spent tailgating in the blue lot. Apparently they treat groups differently, usually we get about an hour before we're asked to leave. Why would I make this up?

I agree with you for night games, once the lots start emptying the golf carts start going around telling you to pack up and get going.

Thankfully Ann Arbor is pretty decent area. Part of it was that we got lost there and it took us an hour to find the car.

I believe he meant the idea of folks having beers for an extra 1-2 hours before getting back in the car.
