Tailgate Menu for UMass game:

Many are working in my group on Friday (Mrs. coachcap in Torrington), so everyone is left to their own devices. I am picking up grinders from a local pizzeria for the two of us & my son. May also order a sampler of various flavored wings. Liquid libations will include beer, soda, bottled water)
We all plan to arrive around 4:30-5 p.m., eat a quick tailgate, then into the game.
(Plan on bypassing I-84 thru Hartford due to rush hour traffic & the UConn Hockey game at XL)

This is our annual PIE game. We'll be dining on beef stew, scratch buttermilk biscuits, and home made individual apple pies a la mode...heated up on the grill, of course. Oh so good!

Yummy. I may steal this idea. How do you keep the ice cream frozen? Do you just pack it deep in cooler?

Fried "Calimari" which will ultimately vacate my stomach.

Probably go with basic burgers and dogs which is just perfect for a quick turnaround.

Exactly. Small containers of ice cream packed deep in a cooler full of ice. Normally the outside temp helps. Not so much tomorrow.
