Starting with Steak Sandwiches in ciabatta or Portuguese rolls (topped with peppers, onions, & cheese). Cheesy potato casserole. Maybe some Gulf Shrimp on the Barbie. Apple cobbler for dessert (or whatever the baker in our crew dreams up this week) May bring along a kielbasa for the post game wrap up.
Final menu ideas will be made Wednesday evening, so I will post it Thursday.

Oh, and as always, BEER!

Ummmm . . . . 6 pack of Houston brews smuggled on a Southwest flight via suit case and bubble wrap?

Houston fans eat bubble wrap? That's hardcore.

This isn't tremendously reassuring from a national security perspective but enjoy the brews

Am I the only doing Thanksgiving? Turkey, roasted potatoes, corn casserole, stuffing, butternut squash...and lots of beer.

All of the above is confirmed, except that the "Baker" is bringing Chocolate cake with Chocolate frosting instead of the cobbler. (she's of Italian & French derivation, so it's her way of honoring the martyrs of Paris-avec chocolat!).

The curveball will be what, if anything, my sister brings. My niece is flying in from the Left Coast for Thanksgiving to Boston. After they pick her up in the a.m. at Logan, all are heading to the game. I said no worries, just drive safe-bringing the niece is plenty.

By the way, everyone is bringing their favorite toasting libation to add to the bar. Generally, the last game of the season is frigid, so liquid fortification is a necessity. Even though the weather will be milder for the season, old habits never die.
Thankfully, it's an afternoon game. Two seasons ago, against Memphis, it was "tequila sunrise Saturday". THAT was an adventure.

For years and years, the last home game has been known as the "Woodford Bowl" in our group, for exactly the same reason. The results are occasionally horrible. :)

Either Jambalaya or Chili
Spanish Buffalo Wings
and considering Fish Tacos.

Breaking news: Chili has been added for the post game tailgate. We're staying until the troopers tell us to leave. Kielbasa from Filipek's & homemade chili-now THERE's a combo.

Brunch sandwiches, we're calling 'em. Hamburger with fried egg and chili.
Brews and scotch.
Post-game chocolate chunk cookies.

Got a deer this morning. I'm psyched first day of deer hunting season. So venison is on the menu. I think that is a good omen for the game
(no pun intended). I'm on a roll.
Awesome. I shot a cougar this morning so we're having that. Poached, then grilled.

Shooting a cougar: That's taking the tailgate theme to the next level. My other thought: Were you putting her out of her misery or was she just not in the mood?

Tailgating anyone?? Lol (btw- this is from a few years ago. One got hit on the Wilbur Cross. Anyone else remember this?)
