It's been sooo long since we last fired up the grills in Blue Lot that I ALMOST forgot:

Getting back to breakfast basics: Bacon & Egg sandwiches on Kaiser rolls.
cheese & potato casserole
Coffee cake
Maybe a Polish babka
Freshly made refrigerator pickles
Mimosas & Bloody Marys
&. of course, BEER!

So NOW Mrs. coachcap wants to get creative with a theme:
-She wants to do a play on hot CROSS buns using pizza dough & fresh picked apples
-She asked if any beer has a CROSS on it's label-guess I'll have to find some Dos Equis (a.k.a. two horses-isn't that what Crusaders ride?)

No crosses, but Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers sort of plays on the term used to describe beer made by trappist monks, and they're in Framingham, MA. Close enough?

Just take a quick trip to Salamanca, Spain. Holy Cross brew pub.

Equis means X, not horse, unless you're aware of some etymology with which I am not familiar. However, an X is a cross of sorts!

If she's going there, counter with using "Holy" beer.

Someone needs to go full on Irish food. Bangers, rashers, and eggs to start. Corned beef sandwiches for lunch. We need all the luck we can muster.
