You can get paczki at Roly Poly Bakery in New Britain-prune is among the varieties.
(or just substitute Neil's Donuts of Middletown & Yalesville...lol)
I forgot to add pickles: Polish dill, pickled beets, etc.
I DO love a good beet & ham soup, but an August evening seems too warm for soup...

Why are perogies so scarce in CT? I grew up in Philly and Eastern PA. They were on the menu at most hotdog/hamburg joints and most pizza places. Sides like french fries. Also why did perogies originally get auto corrected to progressives.

Guess it Depends where you live in State.
There are eateries in Southington, Meriden, & New Britain where you can find them on the menu. All the markets in the area carry them as well specialty shops (Lewis Farms in Southington eg.) And then there's Broad St. In New Britain...

Man, you just know how to do it. I’m not the biggest fan of Polish food but with the rye bread, kielbasa, sauerkraut and some spicy mustard, I’d be set. Love that you always have desserts and the assortment of pierogi is fantastic.
