I know that CV didn't plan it that way, but he was so open that AG just took advantage of him as a decoy to pull the defender (I think it was Ingram) out of the middle. AG just glanced in CV's direction and started to cock his arm. Ingram(?) went running towards CV, and Whaley just slid into the vacant space in the paint. The entire lane was empty other than IW when Gilbert fired off that rifle pass to him.
Maybe CV selling his “wide-openness” was all part of the designed play!
