T-4 weeks Starters Vote

1st thing, people should read (and re-read as necessary) the original post. (or sue your math teacher)

Ok, here we go
Bueckers - 10
Fudd/Ducharme/Griffin/Cheli/Samuels/Ziebell/Patterson - 0
Chen/Arnold/Shade/Brady/El Alfy/Strong - 6.666666667

An unscientific analysis from an arithmetic challenged math prof: a common view seems to be a starting lineup of
  • Paige
  • Jana
  • Ash
  • Ice or Sarah
  • Kaitlyn or KK
in descending order of confidence. This suggests that the BY is ready for a 3 guard lineup. Any of the permutations here looks very promising.

Ugh I should’ve specified positive integers only

Because I believe Geno prefers people who were in the system the year previous, especially for the early games, I believe he will start:
Paige - 10
KK - 10
Shade - 10
Ice - 7
Q - 3
Yanna -3
Jana - 2
Chen - 2
Allie - 2
Sara - 1 Mostly due to missing time away for Olympics etc.

The other 4 have not been full participants in practice yet but will play when Geno thinks they are ready so 0.

Geno rewards availability and experience in the system. Game rotation will be different. Geno's starters are not always the ones with the most playing time.. For the first game playing time (assuming no blow out because that will affect the first 3s time on the court for sure:
Paige, KK, Shade, Ice, Jana, Allie, Chen, Q, Yanna, Sara. After the first 4 the playing time for the next 6 will likely be about equal.

I guess mine was late. Just saw this and didn't realize there was a cutoff although I suppose I should have.

Starters:
Paige = 10
Jana = 10
KK = 9
Shade = 8
Ice = 8

-----------

Rotation:
Chen = 10
Strong = 10
In the interest of statistical completeness, here's better numbers:
Paige = 10
Jana = 10
Shade = 8
Ice = 6
Strong = 6
Chen = 5
KK = 5

Paige - 10
Chen - 6
KK - 6
Ash - 7
Jana - 7
Strong - 8
Ice - 6

Which pretty much translates to "Other than Paige I don't know, but I can do basic math."

Physician, heal thyself

That's 50.000000002
Didn't feel like stretching out to infinity.

Besides, that's close enough for........BY work. :cool:

Your observations regarding Geno rewarding experience and that starters not always being the ones with the most playing time is correct. He has been doing this for years. For example, in 1994-5 Pam Weber was the starting point guard, but only played about 4 minutes at the start of the each half, giving way to Jen Rizzotti. This year I am expecting more frequent player rotations based on the talent available.

28 votes in and @hoopsdiva is our Everyman, er woman. Her ballot is closest to the group average. @Zinethar is the anti-Hoopsdiva, with the most unusual ballot relative to the rest.

Paige 100
JanaE 84

KKArn 67
KChen 61

SrStr 54
