Watching a replay of their Providence game, I think we'll be able to score on this zone. The key to having success against them (from what I've seen) is getting the ball to the foul line. Providence is doing this a little bit, but they don't have much size inside, so they're struggling to get the ball inside from the foul line since Melo is so tall. Give Olander the ball there, and you can lob it up to Drummond if Melo closes in on Tyler, or take that jump shot. Really, you can just pass it to whomever's man collapses in; inside, or out to the wing for an open 3.

It's no surprise to me that Cuse is doing so well; they can get hot from the 3, and to a team that doesn't have any type of athleticism or size like Providence, they're not gonna be able to break the zone very well. Not having Council to run the offense really hurt the Friars.

i cant wait for that game on 2/11.

we have 2 bigs that can pass the ball, and 4 that can hit the foul line jumper.

as long as we run the zone offense, we'll be fine. should be a great game.

I think we say this every year with the penetrating pgs we always have. Some years we solve it other years we don't. Funny thing is that the team will practice like crazy before the game and then come game time the zone looks foreign to our players. The question is are we mature enough to work it and not get confused, impatient or frustrated?
