Syracuse is terrible

Its wild watching other teams miss bunnies and the players dont freak out like they've been hacked in half.

Remember when Bouk was out and I said we were an average team , and you said wait until Bouk comes back and I said we’d still be average when Bouk came back, and you and the rest of the thread excoriated me?

I remember.

you want me to dig up screenshot?
Oooh look.

Average teams aren’t fringe top 25 and make the tournament.

That is called a good team. We had a disappointing loss, but this was a good team. Not a great team

So ... you’re saying recruit “players“ and not just athletes?

Which brings me to a pet peeve. I’ve seen way too many mixtapes that are 90% dunks. As if those are the kind of shots you get routinely in college ball.
My kid showed my Andre’s tape when he committed, it was 80% dunking on little white guys and 10% shooting wide open 3’s.

But they have two unathletic players who 99/100, nail the three point shot. If you don’t have players who can hit the three point shot, that you don’t have a chance.
They might be terrible but they still had a better year than UConn this year...and 2016 (Final four), 2018 (S16) and 2019 (8 seed), and probably last year too. In fact, by March their 2017 was better too, started off worse (52-50 loss to UConn) but ended up better by the end of the year (NIT vs nothing and below .500 for UConn).

Time for UConn to focus on UConn and forget about Cuse until the Huskies can play at least a little better. Most of us fans would love to have the 2015-2021 that Cuse has had, let's be honest...1 win in March (1-2) vs their 8 wins (possibly 9 tonight/ 8-3 overall since 2015.

Welp, Uconn and the fan base are all home watching them closing in on another SW16

Cuse - WVa very entertaining game....give both teams credit but the Cuse needs to lose please

Hate to say it though but Cuse knows who they are very well.

WVU's inside players are as bad at converting as we were yesterday. They have had multiple chances to make a difference. Knockdown shooters are a real priority for Hurley to recruit.

Exactly and thank you! Lol

This SU-WVU tilt really shows the value of multiple knockdown shooters. Both teams have more than one threat from 3, and their best shooters are killing it.
3 point shooting is so so important to the college game now. Having athletes is good, having shooters is really good. Having athletes who can shoot is the holy grail.

I am so tired of this board telling me that we are great and Syracuse stinks. That Hurley is great and Boeheim stinks. Results speak for themselves. Some people on this board need to look in the mirror and stop making excuses. We are average at best with little evidence to suggest we are improving.

I’ll take buddy over bouknight any day in the tourney
Buddy is impressive. Didn’t realize how good he is. Killer shooting. If we only had a guy kid that.

I hope our guys are gym rats the next 7 months....need some killer shooters next year.

Maybe Boeheims over the Uber athletes we seem tohave

it is respectful. Buddy has had a hell of a streak In crunch time, today the exception.

a big second half for Buddy. I hate cuse as much as anybody here but facts are facts. He has 24 points today.

make that 25 for the game and 22 in the 2nd half. Buddy got them into the tournament and is the lead player in getting them to advance. We need shooters.

Serious question. As a college team in 2021, would you rather have Bouk or Buddy?
Did you ask this three weeks ago

thats the point of the post. If you have two shooters you can win games regardless of limited the rest if the players are

Huggins team choking at the end of games has become a thing.

Who besides an undersized Cole is a shooter in our returning lineup? BB is 6'6" and can get his shot anytime he wants. That is a nice weapon to have.
