Syracuse exodus

+1. Any change has the possibility of bringing improvement. When your adversaries are in a rut, status quo is what you want from them.
It was gonna happen sooner or later. At least give us the pleasure of saying stuff like:
"It's over, Jimmy. IT's OVER!"

I like Goodine. Not for us of course but he’s a nice player.

Would assume Washington and Hopkins show interest. They have nobody signed for 2020 yet. Probably going to hit the transfer portal hard. Expect Stevenson from WSU to get a look from him too

Every program with a legendary coach will eventually go through it. Its gonna happen with Duke with coach k. We just suffered through it with Calhoun. Our case was a little different with Ollie, but the downturn came eventually. Thats why im so hyped for the future and the season ending didnt really bother me too much. Hurley has us back on the right track.

I hope these kids attend classes through the school year. These credits are so important.

What if all these kids head to Iona?
Totally agree. For a low-major team, Iona can make an impact quickly with this move.

Winning culture, passionate fans, recent MAAC success and a good trio of guards between Washington/Gist/Ross to lay the foundation of their 20/21 roster.

With Agee and Crawford graduating, this team is poised to poach some good frontcourt transfer players.

Thanks a lot, Waq. Now I have Rambo socks ads showing up on my facebook feed.

I don't even think of them as adversaries any more. In every way it could be interpreted, they are not in our league.

They won wandered over to the Syracuse board? I may do that sometime today. I’m sure it will be entertaining.

Parents always want their kids to be better off than they were I’m glad it happened here
There is an underrated players thread - this belongs under the underrated comments thread.

I've only read through the first 2 pages of the 11 page Washington/Carey thread and it's just lots of posts about how no guard is going to come there since he won't play

My first thought when I saw this was how the Red Sox were able to dump Beckett, Crawford and Gonzalez and remake their franchise when it looked so bleak.

We know what happened next.

They stoles signs? :D

They’ve got 2 guys coming in, and 4 players leaving (1 graduating and 3 transfers). They’ve got the 11th best recruiting class in the ACC out of 15. There’s not really any spring recruits that they’re targeting to fill these spots, so they have to go grad transfer route and if they do, more than half their team will be graduating after the 2020-21 season

They've done some impressive mental gymnastics about how guys they focus on recruiting don't seem to pan out so they are HAPPY Jackson committed to us and they ended up with Richmond.

These kids have to leave because of that #1 in the nation recruiting class is coming to Cuse
