Last year the Cuse game in Storrs was the loudest I've ever heard Gampel. I'm fairly certain I was in a mosh pit behind the Uconn basket.

It also was apparently the scene where UConn students were screaming and swearing at children and middle aged to elderly fans wearing orange.

Don't do that. Don't let other's around you do that. Its a basketball game.

I'm sure it will be far less of an issue at the XL than in the friendly confines of Gampel, but keep the peace.

Now, with that out of the way. Blow the roof off the Civy. Get the sit on their hands blue hairs up. "Stand up Hartford" I want to hear it. We are two games out of 1st place. A junior Cadougan Miracle from controlling our own destiny. A top 25 RPI. We are not an accident. This is not a mirage. We have been put away by 1 team in 22 games. 1. And they did it by injuring our heart and soul.

As a red sox fan, this game feels like game 4 of the 2004 ALCS and Kevin Millar saying "don't let us win today." Don't give us a reason to believe Wednesday. Don't give us that signature Big East W to start a 3 game home stretch. Don't force the national Media to turn over the rock they've been hiding us under. Don't do it. Because Kevin Ollie with a reason to believe, is a dangerous dangerous man. And its going to be pretty tight in the big east when Buzz's boys get clipped in DC tonight.

So get there early. Lose your voice. DVR the game. Then go home and fast forward to Katz interviewing KO with the team behind him, holding his first orange pelt 1 game out of first place.

I agree on all points even as I advocate all Cuse fans should be sterilized.:)

I completely agree on all counts. In a year where we're ineligible for the tournament, this is our National Championship. I don't think we've seen the best of this team yet - Calhoun and Daniels are just scratching the surface, Giffey is growing more comfortable with each game, and if there is a game Olander is going to break out, you'd figure this would be the game. A share of the BE regular season championship is not out of the question of this point. Shabazz deserves to be in the running for BEPOY, but he's not getting the attention for it. Kevin Ollie deserves to be in the running for NCOY, but he's not getting the attention. Well, this is our chance: 7:00, ESPN, arch rival, #6 team in the country...can't ask for a much nicer platform than that. The crowd needs to be buzzing from an hour before tip to the final buzzer, if only because this team deserves it.

Let's face it: there are gonna be 14k there and 6k are gonna be wearing orange.

Selling the single game at $50 was genius. They really know how to move tickets.

Yeah that happens like never.
It was like that at last year's football game (the ratio, obviously not the numbers). And we really have to stop expecting people to show up for these games. Older fans will complain that they didn't have enough time to get from their office in Hartford to the game in Downtown Hartford between 5 and 7 and the students are too busy getting arrested and playing Apples to Apples. The AD's plan for this game was horrible (SHOCKING!). Can't buy tix for this game unless you buy tix for two other games? Well that really backfired as no one has bought any tix for any game ever.

There are 3k seats left, with everything going on right now I'm guessing we struggle to get 14k tomorrow

Yeah I'm going - I was just pointing out that they should go audit an economics class and try to understand supply and demand.

Students: Just stay home, empty seats look better than kids sitting down and staring at their cellphones.

As one of the 15 people who was stuck showing up in a Hartford office today. Based on how well Hartford deals with snow it might take 2 hours.

The crowd may be buzzing an hour before tip, but they will buzzing as they start to think about getting into their cars to head to The Civic Center.

The only buzzing will be going on at Black Bear. KNOW WHAT I MEAN?

Good point.

I made the mistake of going to Dunkin Donuts on Farmington Ave. Just an absolute circus. Pedestrians walking around with shovels clearing their own paths. Tomorrow when the cars show up I can't even fathom how bad it's going to be. You literally go onto 84 blind.

I work off rt 6 in Columbia. I go back tomorrow, I really don't wanna know what it looks like.

student section was on FIRE
Loved that one Cuse fan getting less and less boisterous.

I was in the 3rd to last row in the Cuse section and it was great to have them silent at the end of the game, sparing a few "blah blah the only game have to be excited about blah blah probation blah blah." It's amazing how APR cocky they are considering they were probably fraction points away.
