No need to, Lotrader. Just some friendly banter. I know I'm new to the Boneyard, but I've been watching women's basketball pretty intensely for over 20 years. It doesn't make me an expert, but sometimes we fall into this trap of thinking the past is a direct indicator of the present and future. Oregon's talent is there, short of Notre Dame and UConn, but not by much. We recruited Ionescu and Boley and I'm sure Geno would take Hebard and Sabally without a second thought. No team out there aside from the 2 ranked above them can compare, whether they show it night in n night out that's another matter altogether. Add to that they're still relatively young. Notre Dame has 4 seniors and a junior starting by comparison, it's why us UConn fans do all this hand wringing early in the season. The talent is there, but will the mature come quick enough for us to hold it together in NCAA's? I see Oregon being in the same place regarding that maturity and their diversity in size and talent makes them comparable to UConn. And say what you want, I remember that game in the 16-17 season we barely escaped Tulane. We had all the talent and Tulane was Tulane, granted it was an aberration, I would not sleep on Oregon or undervalued what they have as a team because they lack speed and athleticism. They have things in areas we are deficient. So if they're making their shots and killing us on the boards, if we have an off day shooting we're in trouble. Just some thoughts, my friend. And, again I ask you, who do you truly put ahead of them? Go Huskies!
