Not so hard to challenge such a well-reasoned career and family decision, but you have to feel for Baber, a Doyle-hire and quality person.

Coupled with the fact that they are at the back of the line in the hiring carousel buys Pitino one more year. If they have another rough season I'd be surprised if Pitino makes it to the end of the year.

For whatever reason, Purdue has a similar quirky, below floor seating arrangement. Even more bizarre, Vandy has benches below the floor AND behind the baseline.
