I hate being on the outside looking in, but this is the weekend I do pay a little more attention.

Anyway I'm not a better but the East Region looks pretty weak to me. I haven't kept up with these 16 teams all season but any games worth watching?

Midwest Region -- Cleveland (Thursday)

No. 3 Notre Dame vs. No. 7 Wichita State (-1)

No. 1 Kentucky vs. No. 5 West Virginia (+13.5)

West Region -- Los Angeles (Thursday)

No. 1 Wisconsin vs. No. 4 North Carolina (+5.5)

No. 2 Arizona vs. No. 6 Xavier (+11)

South Region -- Houston (Friday)

No. 2 Gonzaga vs. No. 11 UCLA (+8.5)

No. 1 Duke vs. No. 5 Utah (+5)

East Region -- Syracuse (Friday)

No. 4 Louisville vs. No. 8 NC State (-2.5)

No. 3 Oklahoma vs. No. 7 Michigan State (-2)

Was gonna say. No way is NCSU favored.

Only games I'll be going out of my way to watch are UK/WVU and WSU/ND. I'll probably end up watching the second half of any game that's close though. It's the NCAA tournament, doesn't really get better than that.

My preferences.
1) Gonzaga. It's time.

2) Wichita State

3-14) Don't care

15) Kentucky. It would be history, which is something

16) Louisville. Had it with Pitino. He's terrible.
For me it's:
15) Kentucky
16) Duke
Without question.

I just can't get worked up about Duke as much. Not sure why. I do want to make sure they don't pass us in number of titles, though.

Probably because they only have 3 elite eights, 2 final fours, and 1 title in the last 13 years. I don't mean that in a high and mighty way, as 2 out of 13 isn't really anything to scoff at but they went to 1-0 elite eights, 9 final fours, and won 3 titles in the previous 16 years. It's simply easier to hate the most dominant teams in any sport. That hasn't been Duke in the last 13 years.

I think the Duke-Utah matchup could be one of the best of the tournament. Utah is legit, with a strong defense, elite 3 point shooting, and a stud guard in Delon Wright. If their big 7' freshman Jakob Poeltl (who DraftExpress has as a lotto pick this year) can slow down Jahlil Okafor even a little bit, I think the Utes may pull this one out.
