Sweet 16 rooting interest

Chris Beard. Don’t have to go further. I never want to seem smile.
You know I didn’t even know his history until today. Kind of sucks. My kid was at the SAE house when he went there to fire them up as referenced in the link. My other kid was one of the court stormers after beating TN. I’d be ok with them winning it all. I live in TN

Houston is #1 then some mix of Mich St, Tenn, Michigan.

Maybe sacrilege, but I’d love to see Arkansas go far and Kentucky go out early just to see the message board madness. Endless entertainment.

Do not want Duke or Auburn to win.

Michigan St. Tom Izzo does things right and would like to see him solidify himself as one of the all time greats. I think he needs one more Championship to do it.

My interest has waned. But I guess the storyline that is best for UConn is for Florida to annihilate whomever else they play by double digits.

The correct answer is not Duke, Kentucky, or Michigan State. Preferably a Big 12 team to keep the streak alive of the Big Ten and SEC both sucking.

Not a team from one of the power conferences so I guess nobody. And certainly no team from the ACC. I will not be watching

Arizona. Have family there. Otherwise iI have no interest in any of the teams

Did you know that this is the first time since it became a 64 team tournament that not a single lower seed (9-16) made it past the 2nd round?

That’s a death knell you hear for “March Madness”. Next year no single lower seeded team will make it past the first round.

It’s the underdogs, the mid major and low major teams that create all the excitement when two or three breakthrough for a Cinderella ride. Without that, what you have is the women’s NCAA tournament.

The power four killed the goose that laid the golden egg.

Cal winning a year after leaving Kentucky would be a great story, but I don't think it's realistic. I'd really like to see Houston and Kelvin Sampson win it. That's one of the great re-builds in CBB history, and the way they play is so unique. Texas Tech, BYU, or Arizona would be fine. Preferably not the Big Ten after everything it's done to destroy college athletics.

But really anyone but Duke.

MSU. I have a future wager on them.
$ 100 to win $ 1,800

Don't want an SEC team. Houston second I suppose. Along with BYU

Don't want UK to pull farther ahead of us. Don't want Dook to tie us.

MSU
Big12
Big10
SEC
Dook

Happy that you are appreciative. But I also could not care less about your reply either.
"Happy" and "could not care less" are mutually exclusive.

Also, you seem unfamiliar with how message boards work. You don't actually need to reply to things you don't care about.

For sure no SEC teams, the more that lose the better. They already have enough bragging rights getting 14 in and 7 in the s16.

For sure not duke, for so many obvious reasons.

No b10 team because not winning a championship since 2000 is hilarious.

So I guess that leaves us with Arizona or a b12 team, Texas Tech or BYU. In that order. Houston as a distant 4th. If I have to pick a b10 or sec team, might as well be Florida going all the way after beating UConn.

Arkansas is interesting. We all know about Boogie Fland. But the guy who won the KU game is Jonas Aidoo. Averages 18.5 minutes a game for some reason. I'd never heard of him before. But he controlled the paint against Kansas. Arkansas faced two teams that can't really shoot and Aidoo gave Kansas fits defensively and put up 22 points.

A team that can shoot from outside should put Arkansas away. So I see TT coming out of that game.

1) Houston - they have the best coach in the NCAA - sorry Dan Hurley
2) Tennessee - always liked Rick Barnes
3) anybody but Dook, Auburn or Arkansas (but thanks Squid for the St Johns upset)

Wouldn't mind BYU this year but with the crazy $ spent to bring in recruits doesn't seem to reflect well on the school.

It's really a shame that only the power conferences are left in the Sweet 16.

This is the first time that only four conferences are represented in the 16. Previously I think the average was at least 6 different conferences represented if not more.

NIL money and the transfer portal have probably killed the Cinderella story that made the tournament so special.

This isn't fun

Exactly right... I wondered if you were bright enough to pick that up. You passed the test.

Isn't Arkansas a 10 seed?
