Perhaps a meaningless factoid. Record of the three Sweet 16 teams from the BEast, B12, SEC, and ACC versus top 25 teams in the Sagarin ratings:

BEast: 30-10
B12: 20-11
SEC: 13-13
ACC: 11-14

For the BEast, ND is 11-3, UConn is 11-4, and St. John's is 9-3. I believe there used to be a team that said playing a tough schedule and winning most of the games was the road to success.
