"It was found, basically, it was found just on the floor, in the trash at the grocery store and it was brought to the compliance office," Currie said Tuesday. "I promise you, I wish it would have stayed in the trash."
Probably the same type of stalker that follows these kids on Twitter.smh @ whoever brought that to the compliance office
The kid got $200. From somebody he apparently knew very well.
My parents sent me money here and there when I was in college to cover the essentials. If my parents were broke, or if I didn't have parents, hopefully I'd be lucky enough to have someone else in my life able and willing to help me out.
And if I was a Division 1 athlete, and that person helped me out, I'd be suspended for the most important game of my career.
I thought that was interesting too. He seems more upset that they receipt was discovered thatn that the kid took the cash ( or more correctly the wire transfer).Err, the athletic director really said this?
I love the AD saying he wishes this stayed hidden. Shameless.
Refreshingly honest is right. Most people want to stay employed. I guess he doesn't.I thought it was refreshingly honest.

It may have been politically stupid, but I am sick of the "outrage" that is generated by anyone not being perfectly politically correct.
What outrage? I'm one of the people that has been for kid's getting paid by outside sources. I was just commenting that the AD had wished this violation had stayed hidden. This isn't a matter of PC stuff.
Can you imagine this board if Pendergast had said, "I wish the NCAA never found out about the money Boatright got from Rose?"
And in this insane duck*ing world where any one of 20,000 kids on that campus can receive a wire from a friend, but a "privileged" 100 or so can't, KSU is forced to end a kid's career early.
