It doesn't protect anything when the stadium is half full or less. It just aggravates people to the point where they may not come back.

Yes, exactly. If the football doesn't aggravate people enough, let's make sure security finishes the job to make sure they never return.

The chairback nonsense might have been self-caused. There was a lady in 242 that was bringing security over to the charibacks to kick out vagrants at the Cincy game. I wasn't too fussed because one of the guys who got kicked out was the fat dope who used to sit behind me in 203 years and years ago (and the guy I always internally picture whaler as, because he was that kind of dope). :)

For all of the people who scream like mad about their season tickets being devalued, amazed that the same crown is denouncing "protecting" an even higher investment.

It's funny that someone could attempt to characterize me as a 'dope', but if you don't see how it's stupid to do one but not the other... maybe you should lay off labeling people as 'dopes'.

3 of us started the game off in one of our old season ticket sections. Midway through the first quarter, we took a left out of our seats and continued to move counter clockwise around the stadium scoping out our NEW seats until we settled safely somwhere in section 124 in the blues, behind the UConn bench. Reminded me of the Spring game several years ago....the last time they had an "official" pick your seats day !!

It needs to be said. I stand and salute you stalwarts who attended the game on Saturday, especially those who did the entire tour of duty that afternoon.

124 isn't a blue seatback section - it's on the 10 yard line. That's where I sit, row 11.

Ha! I'm in that pic as well. Lower right hand corner. I'm in the light blue poncho with my son in the darker blue poncho to my right. Right above the guy standing in the maroon coat.

We sat in our seats for the first half and then stood and watched under cover for the second half (next to a group of SMU parents). Hearing the SMU fans comments about how crappy our program is was especially fun. When the Teggart clip came up and they saw the video of packed sections behind the uprights, I think they were stunned. There were no more than a dozen or so folks in those seats so the contrast between video and live was pretty stunning.

I sat in a chairback seat in 141 behind the SMU bench with some friends. No one ever checked my ticket.

It looked like security escorted someone away that was sitting in the front row in 141 - maybe someone here knows what that was about?

Sorry - it wasn't as bad as it sounded, promise. The guy I saw kicked out (and who sat behind me years ago) was, by far, the most annoying "fan" in the history of our program. I will never forget him wildly cackling at the Navy game - just constantly disparagaing our program.

So, your admittedly (I hope) "negative tendencies" stuck you to his image. Sorry. :)

My daughter and I were the only two of our group of 17 to attend. Stood entire game at the 40 yard line on concourse above SMU bench. The security was particularly active checking tickets in the section right in front of us. I agree with the principal of it but I immediately thought in that environment they are just pissing off the most hard core fans. we can't afford to do that.

Hey, we're in the photo, too. Section 223, far right of the picture, on the left aisle above the Frontier sign, two UCONN gray ponchos. Do we look like we're having fun or what?

At the beginning of the fourth quarter of the Cincinnati game we moved to the front row of the seat back section behind the UCONN bench. No questions asked by security. For those SMU game, didn't feel like getting close to the bench--I might say something I shouldn't.

I was on the other side behind the UConn bench. Beyond stupid why they would give people a hard time at the last game with about 5k people there.
This is serious bussiness with announced 22,921...LOL.. sat in three different locations with security never saying a word. Actually at one point sitting just above you...

My buddy and I moved all over the stadium until we finally bailed after a 4th quarter TO. Ended the day right behind SMU bench. Those guys have a great sense of humor btw.
