Why stop there? Should we get rid of everything in the world that could theoretically cause harm to people when used incorrectly? No more sharp objects, hot surfaces, and cars?

Nope. The responsibility ultimately lies with the person.

And there are in fact laws where establishments can be fined/shut down if they knowingly overserve someone who drove or is clearly intoxicated.

Just stop.

It is insane that people freak out about the thought of a three drink maximum and segue into prohibition. The "Why stop there" argument - which is basically the segue to "why enact any more laws because subsequent laws will only be more restrictive".

just silly. besides, a lot of people would just have 2 drinks each at 3 different places.

It's like when states had different drinking ages...all did was encourage kids to drive to another nearby state to drink...and then drive home

I don't want to judge on face value - because there are three other Reid children. But, it just makes me wonder if it's worth it as a father...being consumed by a job - away from home all the time.
