The Hartford Courant had a small Page 2 article this morning (6/26) stating this. It said that the recovery time is expected to be 3-4 months, which would take it beyond the 2019 WNBA season including the playoffs.
This is a significant problem for the Sun, since she has been their first guard off the bench in their very successful start to the season. Behind their starting backcourt (Jasmine Thomas and Courtney Williams), they had Clarendon and Rachel Banham. Clarendon provided the speed, penetration, and defensive skill, while Banham provides 3-point shooting and not much else.
I don't know if a season-ending injury at this point allows the Sun to add another player to their roster. However, I'm not sure who that would be in any case -- Hiedemann of Marquette was the last cut in training camp, but she has been picked up by the Atlanta Dream.
