So I guess the Sun couldn't declare Clarendon injured or unavailable and thereby reclaim her roster spot? If they could, they wouldn't have had to release Carleton to make room for Hiedeman. So I guess the Sun will have to play for the rest of the season with an 11-player effective roster.
Oh well, at least they got the kind of player they need to replace Clarendon: a fast, ball-handling third guard. Hiedeman should get plenty of minutes.

I believe the Sun could have suspended Layshia but have chosen not to. Maybe they're hoping to resign her next year and are doing this to demonstrate their commitment to her. Heck, it worked with Chiney! Oh wait..... 
Layshia's been a very positive teammate and franchise representative out in the community since she's been here and I'm sure the Sun want that to continue.
