Sun 2/10 Games

Whoa, Magarity scores to make it a 3-point game. They put Durr on the line. Not the player you'd want to foul, but they can't be picky now.

GA demolishing FL by nearly 40, as Dogs hit the soft spot in their schedule and should be able to finish strong.

It'll help their W-L record, but they need some quality wins if they want a shot at a bid, which basically means beating either SC or Kentucky.

Maryland leading Rutgers by 11 in 2Q, seeking revenge for earlier loss. (Unfortunately the BTN is airing Minnesota-Northwestern instead of this game)

Utah up by 5 over UCLA in 2Q.

This UVA-Duke game is scintillating

Rutgers' offense is back to its usual anemic self, shot only 31% in the first half.

Maryland is well on its way to taking over control of the Big Ten standings.

Maryland is taking Rutgers to the woodshed, up 56-34 in early in 4Q.

Utah is in trouble at home vs. UCLA, down 66-59 early in 4Q. After just losing to USC on Friday, this loss would really hurt them.

Down 10, under a minute left. Officially in free fall, this would be 4 losses in a row. Went from conference contender to middle of the pack in a hurry.

Can Colorado get their first win today? Up 5 on USC at halftime.

edit--gotta give kudos to UCLA, this win would but them at 6-1 in road games in conference so far

Coach Close gets criticized for underachieving frequently, this year she might be overachieving. If nothing else at least they've turned their season around after a very meh OOC.

There's a chance Duke could end up with a losing record. They've still got Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, and whoever beats them in the ACC tourney. Is McCallie under any pressure there?

Some of their issues with (a) lack of depth and (b) youth are catching up with them. I also think that teams are starting to scout them better.

UCLA has put up 38 points in the 4th quarter and it's not quite over yet. Utah has put up 34 though.

edit--100-90 final, 40 point quarter for the Bruins. Those don't happen very often.

more--26 for Burke, 25 for Onyenwere and 24 for Dean

Huff scored 23 and Edwards 21 for the Utes

Utah might fall completely out of the rankings after being swept at home by the LA schools.

Kennedy Burke with a career high of 26 points on 11-18 shooting.
Onyenwere added 25 with 7 rebs, 4 assists, 3 steals.
Dean had 24 points (including 10-10 on FTs), 7 rebs, 5 assists.

Thankfully whatever happened to Oregon St. at Stanford doesn't appear to be happening again at Cal. Beavs up 13-10 w/ 4 and change in Q1 and shooting over 60% from the floor.

Dang, I jinxed them. Now down to shooting 40% and trailing 20-15. 1-5 behind the arc.

Basically getting beat by 2 players, Anigwe has 8 and Brown has 9.

Cal was up 10, Anigwe killing them (17 and 9). Slocum having a good game. OSU getting a pick me up from the bench and have closed to within 2 approaching halftime.

Colorado up 1 w/ a little bit over 2 minutes left. Come on Buffs, you can do this. Rotten luck w/ Leonard going down with an injury right at the beginning of conference play, not sure if she's going to return. 0-11 in conference coming into today.

Marquette is back to completely manhandling the Big East, demolished Villanova 93-55.

Iowa leading Ohio State by only 4 at the half. Gustafson has 10 points and 9 rebounds.

Colorado hangs on to beat USC by 9 for its first Pac-12 win. Congrats to them, but wow this hurts USC a lot. They follow up their best win of the season over Utah with a loss to a team outside the top 100.

Anigwe and Gustafson both chalked up yet another double double, both games w/ plenty of clock left in Q3. You can pretty much pencil it in for both of them every game.

edit--although OSU has kept Anigwe off the offensive glass thus far, all 10 of her boards are on the defensive end

Iowa running away from tOSU now, up 21 after Q3.

Oregon St. on a run late in Q3, now up 7 on Cal. Looks like it's pretty much Anigwe and nothing else for the Bears.
