Summer of Abdou Toure (2026 Recruit)

When I see Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Arkansas and Houston on a kid's list, I think we should prioritize other kids. Those are the schools listed for the recruits people think we want more than Toure. Prioritize those guys and likely lose them and Toure.

What a weird take. We should stop recruiting a kid because four of the best programs around are also recruiting them and kids might be considering playing there?

I mean maybe outside of Duke we’ve taken all of those programs to school in recruiting head to heads in the last handful of years

Stop recruiting a kid just because there's competition?

Good thing the coaching staff didn't follow that line of thinking with Silas Demary Jr. He was being recruited by St. Johns, BYU ($$), Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina if I am not mistaken.
for real

We also beat out Duke, Kentucky and UNC for Braylon Mullins… I think some fans are not yet fully comprehending this new era of recruiting for UConn… when the staff really wants a recruit, they have a very high rate of success regardless of the competition.

It was really us vs Indiana and UNC clawing to stay in third.
