Should be noted that the author of this piece is not present at practices. He's putting this together based on what Geno said at BE media day. Geno said Aubrey sprained her ankle = down. If nothing was said about a particular player on that day -- which doesn't mean they're not doing what is expected -- then that player is neither up nor down.

The Boneyard interprets Geno

Geno says to a reporter: "Player A fell today"

What some on the Boneyard hear: Player A had an off day.

What others on the Boneyard hear: Player A in on a downward trajectory. No a good practice player. Never going to be a starter with that attitude.

What another group on the Boneyard hear: Player A showed she can't play on this level. She is destined to the end of the bench and will never be happy. Thinks she will transfer but knows that they can't speculate on that on the Boneyard so finds ways to hint at transfer without saying it.

What Geno meant: Player A fell. She scraped her knee. Probably will need a bandage.

I find it a little surprising that Caroline is surprising
There have been hints all along that she is a special talent:
BB ability, combined with a great motor and a (wonderful)
nasty attitude with a big chip on her shoulder,
I'm really looking forward to seeing her (successfully)
compete for minutes.

I go back to that podcast Ducharme was on while still in HS. She exuded confidence, like she's got this. If she's making 3's and not getting beat on D, she's playing.
