Not surprised at all about this. She should do well. And being an alum, will probably be given ample time to turn Syracuse's fortunes around.

I think she'll win immediately; the transfer portal is a game changer.

Good decision. Surprised it took them so long to get her a contract to sign.

Loving this hire!! Oh who am I kidding. I love it when any coach gets a gig, especially when it is a hometown hire, like this one. Hopefully Legette-Jack can continue what she created at the University of Buffalo at Syracuse. Her run at Indiana was rough, towards the end, but a learning experience. Her stint at Hofstra was iffy but it was a start. Looking forward to seeing what she does at Syracuse.

It's a lot tougher when you are needing to use the transfer portal to replace so many your own program's players who have decided to transfer. There aren't a lot of holdover players to host transfers on their campus visits and try to sing the praises of your program as you try to recruit these transfers to join you on the roster.

Using the transfer portal to fill a few roster voids or maybe complement the returning players is a lot easier to accomplish then to try and overhaul your entire roster in just one offseason.

I'm looking forward to the possibility of there being competitive games between UConn & Syracuse again someday.
