I got my young alumni along with almost all my friends. Hope no one was waiting.

but will the majority of students stay the whole game? my money's on no.
One step at a time. Ge them to buy tickets then we will work on into the game on time then staying for the whole game

Young alumni selling out is big. Classes of 2007-2012. Reminds us of how short a time we've been at this. Emotional scarring aside.

Since UCONN students have to travel the furthest of any BCS school to get to their home stadium, I'm grateful that students purchase tickets and show up at all. It's a lot easier to roll out of bed and walk to the stadium than to catch and pay for a SUBOG bus a couple of hours ahead of time.

But if you've already bought the tickets and are at the game, why would you leave at halftime or the start of overtime? There's not that much going on in Storrs that you're going to miss.

Guess you have never gone from UCLA campus to the Rose Bowl ;)

UConn Campus to Rent - 21 miles and +/- 30 minutes travel time

UCLA Campus to Rosé Bowl - 27 miles and +/- hour to hour half travel time depending on game time traffic

Just saying :)

Cheap beer in the parking lots and unexciting games are 2 reasons I can think of. On cold days it's probably lack of the right gear to stand in the elements for 3.5 to 4 hours. Maybe this year it gets better. I like the fact that they sold out their areas. One week to yelling "Stick it In!"

I forgot about UCLA even though I've been to 5 of the last 6 Rose Bowls, but not starting in westwood! And the trip, traffic and parking for UCLA home games sucks for everyone.

The kids don't go to Pauley either and it is smack dab in the middle of the campus. And I have spent at least 200+ days in the LA area over the last 10 years and the thought of going to Pasadena for anything just makes me laugh.
