Same sort of thing with Alyssa Thomas' shoulder when she hurt it- there didn't appear to be any major contact with her opponent or any movement that would suggest a serious injury. Yet she missed 10 games. Hopefully EDD will be able to continue playing.

Perhaps bone on bone or cartilage on cartilage? Bone bruise aften accompanies a ligament tear.

She was way out of her element trying to go baseline to baseline. You could see it not ending well when she decided to take it the whole way. Got to play within yourself which she normally does with precision. She’s not a guard even though she had the opening

The hyperextension when she slid looked ugly. The video doesn't show her falling. Perhaps the landing caused a bone bruise. I hope that's all it was, not that a bone bruise is trivial. Didn't Morgan, Brit Hunter, and Batouly (at least) have bone bruises?
