9 Turnovers to 22 dimes.
Bazz and Boat were unreal. If KO didn't sit Bazz with 8:32 left in the game, he would almost certainly have had his 2nd consecutive triple double. There were times out there where he looked like he was simply toying with the Detroit defense. That's tough to do without showboating, but he managed it. Speaking of showboating, the Boatshow has given way to a real team game, and right now, the combination really is the best back court in the country.
With Omar and Neils shooting the way they are, I'm not sure there's another perimeter attack in the country like ours.
After that 3 went down for DD early in the 2nd half, he was a different player than we'd seen for 2-1/2 games. Aggressive and under control. No more tentative drives and indecisive passes. If that DD sticks around, we're good to go.
Oh yeah, and running off opponent's makes was always a hallmark of those mid-nineties UConn teams. Seems like KO didn't forget how much fun that is.
Certainly glad the NCAA didn't screw Facey. He's a player, and our four headed center might just prove to be something that helps carry us to the promised land. Or six headed 4/5 combo, whatever you want to call it.
Oh, one more thing. Rutgers needed a pair of FTs in the last 15 seconds to beat Yale by one. Maybe's Yale's better than we gave them credi... Oh. Wait. Rutgers. Never mind.
