Storrs South Friday Roll Call

I'll be watching from Storrs Mini-West and sadly without any New York style pizza but I do have about 15 lbs of natural casing Hummels hot dogs I may break out of the freezer.

Bring the noise into the Garden for me!!!

Ticketmaster just released more seats—pricey, but still better than resale for away-side seating.

There you go, buy them up. Looks like a small amount of seats though.

Me +1.

Expect a very non-UConn crowd. UConn was heavily outnumbered last year I expect the same this year.
It was a decent UConn turnout last year we just had nothing to cheer about the entire 40 minutes. Not the 80/20 pro UConn of back in the day but it was prob in 70/30-60/40 in favor of SJU route last year with a UConn team that had 0 juice last season and SJU that had a lot of juice.

Well. It's an away game after all. and the johnnies are good again. I expect the Johnnies to draw very well for as long as Pitino is there.

Correction : Last years game was on a Sunday turns out, but you get the point. UConn is coming in with attitude this time !

At the end of the day SJU was well hyped during the pre-season so Johnny fans had a head start on buying tickets for this game. They also announced that they drastically increased their season ticket holder count.

But who cares. Its gonna be a heck of an exciting game. I hope its competitive and gets good ratings in Big FOX (the Fox CBB instagram acccount has been showing off their B1G TV ratings the past couple of weeks. I hope we can show 'em that UConn-SJU also draws!)

This will be a great BE finals type energy. I am more than confident we can win this.

Keys - Tarris HAS to stay out of foul trouble, we need to make plays for Mullins, and AK cannot wait until 9 minutes left in the game.

A couple points to the crowd factor for the 2025 game.
1. That was a Tuesday game
2. UConn was not playing well at all last season
3. St Johns was the best team in the league with a very good record and the fans bought in

This time :
1. Friday night game
2. UConn is #3 in country and on a roll
3. St Johns still to be determined how good they are and fans not as confident

So this should be a much better UConn fan turnout .
Depends on ticket access. Apparently, there has been a lot of pressure among SJU fans to sell tix on a SJU ticket exchange and not on the public secondary market.

It was definitely more SJU than UConn last season which was the first time in a long time that it was like that at MSG.

I say 2/3 SJU, 1/3 UConn maybe 60/40 SJU?

During ticketgate in 2001/02 , I bought tickets directly from St Johns ticket office . So if there is a will, there is a way to bypass !

Very curious to see the crowd split. As Marat pointed out, I think last year was a different situation and there really is no big Johnnie fan base. They jumped on a bandwagon last year.

Pitino was ticked off at the crowd being “50%” PC for that game this year and PC won. I expect Madison Storrs Garden tomorrow.
