Pretty woeful half by Minnesota; no one really impacting the box score for them (yet).

Lynx shooting 36%, Storm 57% from the field thus far.

Sue was on fire. Seimone is playing, but even she is shooting poorly. The Lynx are closing but still down 5.

Maya scored 5 to cut the lead to 1.

Seimone missed the potential go-ahead shot at :07.

Sue missed 2 FTs that could have iced it.

Tina T. made 2 FTs at :01 to go up 3.

Maya missed from 27' at the buzzer.

Birdie!!! Maya scored 14...Sounds like it was a great game. Sorry I had to work...

Just wanted to say that despite being however old she is, Katie Smith did a fantastic job shadowing and chasing after Maya. She was all over her. That along with the fact that she played 33 minutes is amazing to me. She goes right into the "ageless" category with Taj McWilliams in my book.

Maya has been pretty underwhelming this season.

I know Minnesota likes to spread the wealth, but I expected her to really break out this year. It's hard to criticize Maya too much, especially when she's been very solid (and does a lot that doesn't show up), but I can't help but feel like she should be doing even more.

Um, could we have some attention for Sue and the surprising win. How soon you guys forget.

Maya has been pretty underwhelming this season.
Not sure why you think a youngster like Maya should be outshining highly talented and more experienced players Seimone Augustus, Candice Wiggins, Lindsay Whalen et al. And still, Maya is second in points, assists, 3 point FG% and free throw percentage and third on the team in rebounds on the best team in the WNBA - in her second year as a pro.

What about Kevin Durant?
Good point, but it was the final round of the U.S. Open and only Game 3 of the NBA finals. Game 7 would have been a different matter.

Honestly, this is good news for Phoenix. Making the playoffs this year does not help the Mercury, as finishing fourth in the West just means losing out on the Griner/Diggins/EDD sweepstakes. Seattle beating Minnesota and Phoenix losing to Tulsa helps Phoenix in this endeavor.
