As far as I know, there is no dependable way to discern human writing from AI writing, and most people (nearly all) aren't very good at telling the difference or properly pointing out AI writing with any real accuracy, so there are a lot of false positives and labeling human writing as AI just because, for example, it's polished. Or is there some super awesome AI that is amazing at properly detecting AI writing now (because a lot of those are scams)?

I have free Grammarly on, that's AI, is that bad?

I can't define what's objectionable, but I know it when I see it.

If you're interested in the case for the UConn men being considered a true blue-blood program, put the question to Google AI, as I did. The answer will be a resounding "YES," tightly-reasoned, superbly-composed, full of supporting data. I am an 88-year-old, unabashed lover of AI..

Honestly, AI makes so many stupid mistakes with basic facts and context that it should be easy to tell an ordinary text-only post by a regular human poster apart from AI. What I see more is people using formatting common to AI summaries from search engines, which makes people wonder if they're just reading AI compilations that have been edited a bit and then reposted. I know I tend to lose interest when I suspect AI, in part because I don't trust the information AI puts together.

I think you're assuming that most people using AI are young. I've found that old coots LOVE AI much more than kids. Kids will use it to do their homework or whatever. I have family members sending me stupid AI generated portraits of dead people, fake videos, etc. all the time. Old people love AI.

The first two or three dozen posts need mod approval, and new users can't register using a proxy server.

I'm also part of an Internet honeypot that shares information with other sites. Whenever we get a bot trying to post AI or even just a person flaming a sight, I submit the ip. The database is big enough and updated realtime, so a lot of bots are blocked even before they get a chance to post here.

I get your point though. My rule of thumb is if a post sounds intelligent, I'm gonna check to see if it's AI.
That being said...Im not AI.

.-.
That being said...Im not AI.
That’s exactly what AI would say.
