USA beat Australia 71-66 in a tough game. Morgan Tuck led all scoring with 17 points in 17 minutes..!!. Stewie had 12 points and led in rebounds with 10. MoJeff led in assists with 4 (of 8 total) and was 3rd with 6 rebounds. She also had 0 turnovers in 23 minutes.... A'ja Wilson had 11 points and 9 rebounds.

To review, UConn players led in scoring, rebounds and assists..... Sweet. Go Huskies..!!

Closeness of score indicates Team USA may have a tougher time winning the Gold Medal. Good showing by Australia against a talented USA team. It is their first game and I suspect the other teams have had more practice time as a team then USA typically has.

No USA Basketball has it wrong at the bottom of the box score but the tallies add up proper for the team totals in the main body.

Anyone want to bet this will be the closest game? No doubt the coaches will have their ear about giving up 26 points in the 4th quarter and almost blowing a big lead.

They didn't give up 26 in the 4th. The "By Quarter" lines for the game were inverted.
