Great! HOw many time has a soph won this, I wonder? Pundits?

Some things are just obvious.
It is interesting that there was not any talk all season about McBride being included in ones to watch, POY or whatever. Suddenly over the past week she is one of the best, hype machine gearing up?

There has been talk all year about McBride. She was added to the "Ones to Watch" mid-year.

Maybe sudden in the discussion, but well deserving. She is a super player with a beautiful shot. Not sure why there would be any questioning to the merits of her addition to the discussion. I think that most educated fans of women's basketball have no problem at all with her being in the discusson of the best players in the county.

It's not sudden at all; she was put on the "watch" list a long time ago, as per above.

In various ways, they all deserve the award. It's too bad only one has to be picked.

If Stewie was a senior, there wouldn't even be a discussion of who wins the award. The other 3 are great players, but as Geno said if you had one player to pick it would be Stewie.

. But did we "need to know" her? Did we???

I didn't particularly need to know her. I remember her well from last season, unfortunately.

Do we really need to vote to know who the best WCBB player is? I thought at this point it's pretty obvious.
