You know what's strange?...Given the high presence of African Americans in bball, take another look at the faces.

Even if we grant that the cover is about Ct. persons (which I would not understand in SI) the whites have far more than a 75% showing.
Didn't we have both Okafor AND Taurasi on the 2004 Pre-Season SI cover? That turned out pretty good...
Maybe you need to ask the students why more of them in the picture are Caucasian? This picture represents students that were either available or requested to show up for a photo shoot. The cross section does not represent anything else.
And, if were to even go down the Mike D route, where's the problem/ where's the bias if Caucasians are showing up to watch a predominantly African American Team play? It's an Anti-Mike picture if anything.
I was just about to dig that out! Yes, a beautiful cover indeed!

A Druid - thought they as a race were I believe white. So what does a blue guy count as?
Progeny of the BlueandWhiteKid, but only the blue genes (and maybe blue jeans) were handed down.So what does a blue guy count as?
It looks like a version devoted to CT actually. And whether that's an issue for the fans in the region is anyone's guess.Anybody know if this is just a regional issue? Sometimes they tailor covers for different sections of the country and/or fan bases.
