Step back. Nobody on here guaranteed this as a victory. Once again, we witnessed 25-28 minutes of what we expected and want to see out of this team. Expectations have been adjusted. UCF, Rutgers and SH losses will do that, but this team still needs to do its part to make the dance. Period. It is very likely they won't win it this year, but only 3 UConn teams have. Win our winnable games, give Cuse a run, make the tourney and see what happens. The team we have finally now seen glimpses of the past 3 games will give anyone fits. Who knows - maybe for 40 minutes even.

They could have won this game. I HATE this line, but the refs didn't help us today. I won't regale the Yard with the specifics, but critical calls and no calls ALL went the other way. Then Boat happened. I think he has game - mad game - but he needs to shut up. That DID affect things immensely. Marq was on their heels despite a 14 pt halftime lead. The window opened and he singlehandedly shut it.

Body language is still a problem. AD was more than disappointing, again. Thought for AD - do NOT shoot unless you are trying to slam it Jeremy has his shot back, but yet, only 12 FGA? Bazz seems to be nearing his early season self, but the TOs are just devastating and ALWAYS momentum killing. How awesome would a legit 3 man be right now? AO played pretty well other than the foul trouble, but yes, his "hops" are less than impressive. Like others have surmised already, GB just shouldn't be calling the shots with this team. This game exposed that exponentially.

I don't know. Not as pissed as others, but as Scote has said, maybe my expectations have just changed. At this point I just want to make the tourney. Hopefully they win a game or 2. We can always hope for more.

These guys, this far into the season, still seem to have no idea how to run an offense. Andrea's inexperience is really hurting them. Can't believe he and Jeremy will leave this spring although not being tourney eligible is a killer.

Did you use the feminine version of Andre intentionally? If so, nice play, and completely in line with the "soft" rep he is getting from others on the Yard.

No, I can't swallow this. We have been blown away by better but some not great, teams in our league multiple times with the games not even close. No blame to refs, let's own this, we are a mediocre team with potentially talented players. That's all we are.

Actually, many Boneyarders predicted Marquette as a victory...look back at the thread about predicting what will happen in the last six games and all but one of the predictors said Marquette was a victory.

JLamb was mentally engaged on offense and played well for the first ten minutes. he had scored 9 points (on target for a 36 point game) and then he went back into his shell again.

A prediction is far different than a guarantee. A guarantee implies you are ready to put money on it. How many Yarders took UConn straight up yesterday and laid down a significant bet? I didn't and I thoroughly enjoy gambling, but I'm sure the payout would have been nice.
