Starter and Villa to pay homage to original BE Schools

They are coming out with a limited number of starter jackets for the original schools. It utilizes the current Universities logos, with the original BE logo. Scroll down in the link to see UConn's. It looks awesome to me.

I believe they should have used to old logo for the jacket.

Hey Friar, what's your sense of the current member schools take on this idea. It seems, quirky. You guys bought the name, yet you are still seeing Big East jackets with us and cuse on it? Just curious.

I don't think anyone would have any problem with this. The BE is different now but the history provided by UConn and Cuse will never be taken away. I love the fact that they included Nova who came a year later but left BC out.

But I'm nostalgic about the original conference so I might not be the best person to ask that question to...

Kyle Muncy, UConn's trademark and licensing director, said the product was never approved by UConn, and mentioned these could just be prototypes to generate interest.
