When they pulled Daniels in last year he hadn't played organized ball in a few years due to his wife's illness, don't think he's played in a league anywhere the past year since.

I completely disagree. I hope they keep building on it to make it more tied to UConn and thus more successful. I assume if Marc D’Amelio is as rich as I think he is, that’s exactly what they’ll do: 3+ wins in next year’s tournament and so on. It’s been awesome having this to follow in the summer and I’m grateful to everyone who made it happen, even when they didn’t hustle back on defense.

Agreed, hopefully next year it's hosted on campus or in Hartford. Get a few more of the top non NBA UConn guys involved and we'll be rolling.

Daniels was lousy in all 3 games. Purvis was well, Purvis with some head scratching plays.

I actually hold Purvis responsible most of all. He was put in when they had a large lead and could increase even more, but his play contributed to that lead evaporating. Agress Daniels just not interested.

Yeah I noticed that, too, that the 10 pt lead evaporated when he was in the lineup. This was the guy former coach Kevin Ollie called a "ferrari in the garage". Today Purvis looked more like a jalopy.

I see, he had more important things on his mind that basketball. That explains why he didn't look anywhere near the type of player he was at UConn in 2014. I hope his wife has good health and Daniels and her live the good life together.

Its a boring tournament, but its something to watch when your guys are playing. I can't bring myself to watch any of the games that don't have UConn guys playing. Honestly, I couldn't watch our games either. I'd just check in for a few minutes here and there.

I have a hard time watching a UConn team playing when 3/5 of the guys on the floor weren’t good enough to ever play for UConn. This was a brutal watch and our guys looked old and out of shape.

I’m now all in on the D3 team…but they’d be who I root for with no UConn team. So it’s not a huge stretch.
