Perhaps you hadn't noticed, but basketball is a team sport.
Sometimes one or two players have a bad game, but other teammates play well and the team wins.
I don't need you to tell me that or anything for that matter.
Stay in your lane.

Williams is the star player on that team, and one of the twins, Lacie, has never been a prolific scorer. Glad the ball ended in the hands of the person best suited to take that last shot. Talk about clutch!!
One could say Williams was double clutch.

Back to the import of this game:

This escape job certainly keeps Stanford squarely in the mix for the final #1 seed, especially with NC State faltering today against Georgia Tech.

Second time this season Colorado loses to Stanford because of last second bonehead play.

This one will make the Top Ten of Sports Center.

As the Stanford fan at the game, I’ll buy @Plebe a drink, chat about his teams, and keep him in our lane for as long as possible.

It’s going to be interesting especially if Stanford can outfox their nemesis in the desert or snatch one from Oregon next weekend.

Ever since ASU's 2 big wins against the Oregon schools, Arizona has been quite clearly better than the Devils. The big one will probably be in Tucson, not Tempe. And yeah, that showdown w/ the Ducks in Palo Alto is huge. OSU kinda looking dead in the water lately. Still 4 upcoming games against ranked teams, Pac 12 is brutal.

I just saw the highlights. Is Kiana okay? She got dog piled by the entire team after that game winner.

Don't jinx us vs. OSU! I really worry the team looks ahead to the Oregon game and doesn't stay focused on the Beavs, who even in a down year, play competitive with anyone.

Let's see how they play against UCLA tomorrow to see how much life they have left in them.

With 1,090 wins, coach Tara VanDerveer is nine victories shy of passing Pat Summitt (1,098) as the winningest coach in women's college basketball history.

Her schedule in the next two weekends is about as tough as it gets: the Oregon and Arizona schools. None of those wins will be easy. Could go 0-4 or 4-0; most likely will be 3-1 or 2-2.

I'd be ecstatic to go 3-1. My fear is the medium probable outcome is between 2-2 and 1-3...
The good news is that Stanford can't have a bad loss from a resume perspective. But they may need to win 2 of 4 to stay a high 2 seed. Which could get them to the Fort Wayne region.

Does that number include tournament games?

That's the remainder of the regular season, does not include conference tourney. Will almost certainly face 1 or more of the Oregon schools, Arizona schools or UCLA again in Las Vegas.

What I was trying to ask was don’t tournament games count towards the career wins total?
