Lol I know we don’t have the best schedule but we do have some wins against ranked teams so it’s better than nothing. It doesn’t matter anyways because Baylor is going to be a 1 or 2 seed anyways. My favorite part is that they are so acutely aware of how pathetic their schedule is, that they're reduced to hoping that their Big 12 opponents can get good wins for them.
Juicy Landrum says hiI would think so, and I’m guessing Collier is ESPNW’s player of the week.
Lol we beat you in most sports this year so we’ll let you have your victory today! Have fun being the second best team in the big 12Only the most creative Baylor fans could try to find a way to make this thread about them . . .

Puts OREGON at 2. I am okay with that.Wow. This is one upset I didn’t see happening today. Will UConn be #1 so long as they do their job today?

I saw that as well. Tara relies on Associate Head Coach Kate Paye for designing key plays from time to time. Paye is the coach-in-waiting. Has been for years. I was surprised Stanford couldn't inbound the ball to a Cardiinal with five seconds to play when down 3 even after a Texas defender had fallen down on that play. Stanford's execution is typically better than that.Well, as I said to some ardent Stanford fans. Yes, this is a talented and deep team. But let's pump the breaks until they get some wins on the road against good competition. What I found interesting was watching the sideline with 4.8 secs left and Tara having her assistant draw up the play. I don't think Geno would ever do that. I'm not quite sure what that is indicative of.
who have UConn played so far this season? They’ve only played 1 ranked opponent in DePaul so far. Baylor has at least played 3 ranked teams alreadyMy favorite part is that they are so acutely aware of how pathetic their schedule is, that they're reduced to hoping that their Big 12 opponents can get good wins for them.
1. You're deflecting. This thread isn't about UConn.who have UConn played so far this season? They’ve only played 1 ranked opponent in DePaul so far. Baylor has at least played 3 ranked teams already
Please not connected at allIt happens. The aftershocks of winning women's soccer and women's volleyball within a matter of weeks.
They'll bounce back. They're definitely one of the best teams.

These two should among be the best front courts in the country, only if Aston was a good coach. Is vintage Joyner back after two rough seasons?
Collier is really impressive. She has room to improve offensively, and once she does, watch out. I don’t think she is as raw as others do, and she is a superb rebounder.

Seriously? Her record setting day was against Arkansas St. Texas just beat the #1 ranked team in the polls. One of those is more momentous than the other.

It's going to be very difficult to make my next Boneyard Top 25 ballot.
I am very happy for Joyner Holmes this year. I see a young woman who has really grown up. She is more articulate. She is working hard to be a team player and a team leader. She is working hard through an ankle injury. And today, Holmes and Collier together (with some help from undersized Jada Underwood) were the best front court playing in the Erwin Center in Austin.
To that end, I did a "midterm" compilation:The great thing is that there aren't any more games (at least no important ones) for awhile, so we have a week to put our ballots together.
She broke her ankle and had surgery in October of last year, missed about the first month or so of the season.I remember Holmes was suspended from the team for a semester her sophomore (?) year and never seemed to get a head of steam going. What about last year? I have a vague recollection that she wasn't fully healthy, but I could be mis-remembering.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good myth! Karen beat Kim Feb 6, 2017 at Baylor 85-79.We play The Horns Jan. 31 in Austin. Aston has yet to score a W over Coach Mulkey.
Wouldn't it be something if Jan. 31 was D day? Wouldn't that be something?

Holmes was not enrolled (due academically being ineligible?) her first semester sophomore year and did play after the semester ended. Kudos to her for persevering and doing what she needed to and I hope she can earn some National attention/awards as she has oodles of talent. Be a nice story. She broke her ankle and had surgery in October of last year, missed about the first month or so of the season.

A mere 34 months ago, yet truly a different era. Juniors Atkins and McCarty, sophomore Higgs and freshman Holmes all had outstanding games.I‘m trying to remember that game.
