Standish to TCU

When looking at the U16 team from 2009, I saw some unfamiliar names: one of them was Alexa Standish. I googled her and saw that she had quit the TAMU team this past December, reportedly because of injuries, after a strong frosh season.

Well, I guess she wasn't that injured, as she is (reportedly) transferring to TCU. [She's from a Dallas suburb.] A huge pickup for a team that went 2-16 in its first year in the Big12.

She was #40 ASGR (just ahead of Orrange).

She was the pg on Chiney Ogwumikes AAU team. She was very good, then had the knee injury.

Miles to go before Standish is as good as Orrange.

TCU was historically decent for their level. Watching them, I find their coach a bit of a screamer, but I never thought it meant anything. IIRC, Rutgers almost played them (or did) in the NCAA's; in any case, I remember one of the RU coaches saying that they had a "wriggle" to their offense that made defending them particularly difficult. I don't know if it is part of his system, or just that year's team; likewise whether it is difficult for most teams, or only someone playing RU's style.
