One of the things that still drives me nuts is this RKG nonsense. Are the kids who flipped to us still RKG's?

depends on the circumstances. if there is a coaching change, then it's perfectly fine to decommit and still be an rkg

In all seriousness, does Des have other responsibilities besides being a beat writer for UConn football? If he doesn't, then there seriously needs to be some quality control, it's embarrassing as a fan that this is the best we get from a Huge CT paper.

"The Huskies have seen one recruit decommit from the Class of 2016, Mike Lonsdorf, an offensive lineman from New Jersey, who could end up at Rutgers."

Can't update that to "verbally committed to Rutgers over the weekend" before sending it out to the world today? Really? All he had to do was check the kid's twitter or this board.

Seems like a lot of the P5 bottom feeders were looking to copy Coach D's paper in homeroom.
It occurs to me that P-5 schools in the region may use UConn as a preliminary recruiting service of sorts. They see who verbals and then extend an offer, thinking if the kid is good enough for UConn, they would most certainly want to play for a P-5 school instead.

It wouldn't surprise me if other so called elite programs did the same in other parts of the country.

Not losing any sleep on a UCONN commit taking a jab at Wake. We'll see where the programs are in a couple years based on recent classes.

lol that's rich. As long as Diaco is here in 2 years I'd take us over Wake any day

I like the late grab attempts from P5 programs though. You heard a lot about that with Edsall recruits too... not so much from PP recruits. Just sayin' :D
