First, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who answered my questions a few months ago about where to stay, where to drink, etc. Everyone was very helpful. We have everything more or less lined up.

My father (68) and I (43) are looking forward to this trip, even though we might see the worst football game since the sport's invention.

I have one more question to ask. I'm looking on Stub Hub for tickets, and was thinking about sitting behind the Mizzou bench. How many rows up do we need to be in order to have a good view?

Thanks! See y'all in a few weeks.

There really is not a bad view in the upper level, ven in the corners. However the closer you are in the lower bowl, the worse it is. If you are looking at the field from the concourse, My seats are to the right of the blue chair backs about 15 rows up behind the visitors bench. That puts us on about the 30-35 yardline, opposite the scoreboard. During the early years of the stadium, we were 5 rows up, which is far too low to see anything develop on the field and you'll be watching the video board when play is on the other side of the 50. I think the 10th row and closer in the lower bowl is almost useless.

If you want to be in the first tier, you should look for seats that are as high up as possible. The first 15 rows or so are not great

I always sit in the upper level for that reason. Better view from one sideline to the other. Down near field level you can't see squat.

Upper half of 101/100/141 and you should be good:

FYI, the Mizzou side of the field will be in the shade for some of the game. Tough to say what the weather will be like in late October (hopefully not too cold), but something to keep in mind.

Jumbo,

Before you buy seats on Stubhub, check this site as you can often get good deals on seats from folks who can not make the game. Also, there will be scalpers selling seats below face at the game - another problem with having an 1/2 empty stadium. I wish you guys would come back in a few years when we believe we will have ReStorred the team and the reenergized the fanbase.

One question about the stadium that we might get answered with Mizzou coming to The Rent is :

"Does the visiting team scoreboard have the capability to go to triple digits?" :D

Pro tip: Don't pick where to sit until you know the time of game and weather.

Seriously. You don't have to worry for a second that you won't find a ticket where it ends up you want to be.

TICKETS

I'd suggest Stubhub over buying from UCONN - the tickets will be way cheaper and the seats will be just as good if not better.

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up buying directly from the school. For me, it was worth the extra money to pick our exact seats - behind the Mizzou bench at the top of the lower bowl, on the aisle. My dad doesn't get around as well as he used to and appreciates an aisle seat.

Looking forward to it, and yes, we certainly do suck this year.

I'm flying to Kansas City as I write this, looking directly down on Columbia--literally--lol. Have a great visit and enjoy the atmosphere. There are lots of friendly welcoming tailgates. If you get into stadium 30 min prior to kickoff you'll see our great Marching Band pre-game. Your Dad will appreciate its patriotic theme.

Don't count on it being the worst game you've ever seen, Uconn may shock!
