St Johns Score Prediction

Dauster calls Pitino the best coach in college basketball since 1985. You would think he would at least give a mention to Jim Calhoun.

Yes. You are likely in the minority, but that doesn't make you wrong. 84-65 good guys. Hurley's playing possum.

School located in the scenic rolling hills of rural Connecticut that plays beautiful, flowing basketball - 64 (due to pace)

School located in the crime riddled urban decay of Jamaica Queens that plays a game that more resembles oozeball than basketball - 17

UConn 73 St. Johns 69. That may be a little too high scoring. The O/U is 141.5

I’m probably in the minority here, but we might just run these guys out of the gym… 85-65 good guys
I’m with you. I think we start painfully slowly and eventually come very much alive. I think halftime of the DePaul game was a turning point and Liam’s return is just a bonus. Maybe not quite 85-65, I’m going with 80-65.

This is not a thread that creates positive karma. We all are going to pick UConn.

No, this is a thread to weed out the spies and imposters!

I'm not a betting man, but earlier this week I saw the spread was UConn -9.5, which even as a UConn fan I would've definitely picked St. John's to make it closer than that. Now I think it's around UConn -3.5.

Prediction: UConn will be the better team in March, but we're not 100% healthy and haven't completely gelled yet. St. John's wins tonight by 5-10 points and Hurley uses the loss as fuel the rest of the season.

Close, they're a bad matchup for us but I'm wearing my UConn shades today and it's going to be a crazy atmosphere with the Gampel Friday night home crowd so I'll go 77-74 good guys.

Tough to forecast this one. I hope we win but its going to be a war, decided by a few points

If McNeeley is 100% and Karaban and Mahaney hit their first three’s then it’s off to the races. Don’t underestimate the home venue.

A Friday night at 8pm in Storrs means the students will be off their rockers both from pre-gaming to partying after. I think this may the most electric crowd we’ve seen there and the boys feed off it. I think the energy makes them play too sloppy to start but in the end, crowd, McNeeley, and Ben Gordon in the house this is a double digit victory. Oh, and Danny being a psycho and feeding off their fans chanting “we want UConn” earlier this week, so maybe UConn by 100.

Spread opened at -1.5 and got bet up to -3.5

I think we win and I think Gampel will be an electric factory. But St John's is really good, especially with the right officiating crew, so I'm expecting it to be excruciating

Liam is bound to be rusty and no one knows how healthy he really is and how long he can play tonight and be Liam.

Hass is still beat-up.

I worry about defending Richmond and Luis.

I worry about scoring against their D especially given the first two concerns.

I worry about their press and our TOs.

I worry about our propensity to foul, see how many fouls Marquette committed last game against them.

But, it's going to be nuts at Gampel and I think we pull it out...70 - 68

Usually i don’t like predicting… buuut I’m going with my instincts on this one. Saddle up partner!

78-63 - Gampel.
