Too many turnovers. Missed free throws. 5/13 I think with many front ends missed.

Disappointed but they will be fine overall. We weren’t getting through the big east undefeated.

Bad game for Silas and Reed continues to have zero touch/mobility around the rim.

I get the ft misses and the turnover number…but Silas kept us in this game on both ends

We aren’t a top 5 team. Can’t rebound, can’t hit free throws, can’t defend, can’t beat pressure. Smith was unplayable forcing Silas to get worn down by the end. We shot well but were terrible at everything else. The elite 8 is the ceiling for the team.

They did what ever they wanted all game. Pitino shows why he has been owning Hurley. Took away the cutting most of the game forced Demery to make all the plays and he had 9 turnovers. Took Mullins and Ball out the game for almost the whole 2nd half.

We can’t guard their three big lineup. Mullins on Mitchell and Hopkins on AK is nightmare and Reed can barely handle Zuby.

Props to St John's , they play tough ..... rough even. Zuby was unreal , they were smarter and hit big shots and grabbed rebounds. After all that , we still had a chance with two minutes. Learn to protect the ball and hit free throws and we'll be just fine..The Jonnies are good though

Hopefully UConn learns the lesson if you miss FTs, have sloppy unforced TOs on offense , and have an unfavorable whistle you wont beat a good team. St Johns is not a great team, but they are solid and athletic and ST Johns will always have refs backing them in any Big East conference game. If UConn shoots 80% from FTs they probably pull this out. Demary was under pressure all night and it as really disappointing Smith couldn’t back him up today

55% FG and 47% from three, but 15 turnovers and 14 assists. That really says it all.

It was a good run at the end of the game to come back. Led by Silas taking over offensively (finished with 18pts), but then he missed 2 late FTs and had that backbreaking turnover (9 TO and 3-6 FTs)

St Johns was more physical, more athletic, more tough for most of the game. Kudos to them, they played a really strong game. They bullied us around like they did last year

The first BE loss is in the books. UConn and St Johns are 1 game apart in the standings. The rematch in CT may very well decide the BE regular season crown

Not a horrible loss. Good lessons for younger player like Mullins. SJU getting benefit of the whistle.
