I don't think Hass had an injury. The announcers last game mentioned he was dealing with tendonitis in the knee. That is more likely due to overuse than injury and is something he probably will have to play through until the season ends

They seem to think our guys are soft. I disagree. I think they're finesse. But mentally they've shown they're going to fight until that horn blows. They're very confident. In the words of the great poet Adama Sanogo, "They thought they had a chance to win. They did not". Go Huskies!
I think Hurley even called them soft. The intensity was good versus Marquette but the team does get routinely out rebounded

Only thing that cures tendinitis is rest. Or just deal with the pain.

I think Hurley had other motives for saying that when he did. Our rebounding issue wasn't a toughness thing in my opinion. Rebounding is a skill. It takes timing, positional awareness, and good hands. All three of which some of our guys struggle with(Samson, solo). Guys like Hass, Reed, Karaban, Stewie and Ross are actually pretty good rebounders for their position. Whenever Samson is your starting big rebounding will be off and on. He just doesn't possess the skills to be a proficient rebounder. But I wouldn't call him soft.

Based on what I understand Diarra has tendinitis of the knee. That is something you can play through. He had 6 days to rest it, if not ready tomorrow when will he be?

Let’s see what happens - would be hysterical if he’s messing with Pitino. What is a minutes restriction - 39 or under?
similar to what his brother retired from basketball with, righ?

One thing that gives me confidence is this team has sort of answered the bell for big games this season. Our struggles have come against the teams we felt "we should beat"(Memphis, Dayton, Colorado, Nova, Creighton, Xavier). Gonzaga, Baylor(sans Karaban), @Texas, @Marquette were all games where we were up for the challenge. Now in hindsight we may degrade some of these wins. But at the time they were no doubt big games. This team may get the "soft" monicker. But I think it's undeniable that they have balls. Even against Memphis down 14 with 4 minutes to go we pushed that game into overtime. Down against PC and DePaul they didn't fold. I think this team responds to adversity extremely well. I think we make a statement in a big way and begin to solidify a top 5 seed in the tourney tonight. Go Huskies!

Solo is much improved lately. In his last 4 games he had: 6, 11, 5 and 11 again. That's pretty good from the 2G position.

Rebounding is a combination of strength, technique and effort. There are many rebounds not won each game due to not boxing out or being out of position when our D gets blown up and players are scrambling to provide Help when teammates are getting beat off the dribble. Although we keep seeing this happen, their team D is improving, where we're starting to see more stops and defensive rebounds. Still room for improvement. Having McNeeley back should help.

His brother had a degenerative issue with I think his meniscus. Not sure but whatever it was it was clearly going to compromise his health at an early age so they (he, his family and the staff) decided to have him stop playing. Tendinitis can be chronic but as I understand it is the swelling of the tendon from overuse.

I had my ACL repaired in my mid twenties they used a center piece/strip of my patellar tendon as the replacement ACL. They told me I would be susceptible to tendinitis for a few years and they were right. Good MD team surgeon for USC (South Carolina). I dealt with it during the winter when I was playing basketball three four times a week in different men’s leagues. But then it stopped. It was interesting as I also played softball a lot during the summer and playing left center I ran a lot but it never flared up.

Usually this not a career ending type of injury.
